This is the first of this year's many (hopefully!) big reveals.
This is what I was stitching together when the clock struck midnight at the birth of 2012.
Actually I was working on the straps.
I designed the entire thing from top to bottom, because I couldn't bear seeing all those hexagons lying around the place, plus I needed a new weekend bag to go with my omnipresent denims!

its pretty simple and does not need any fancy instructions or tutorials. I used 18 hexagons, in 3 rows of 6 hexagons each. It took 1 1/2 balls of black yarn for edging, seaming and making the handles. The balls come in 50grams each, and its pure acrylic yarn, which I killed afterwards. The bag now lies flat and silky, and is great for tooling around town on weekends!
